⚠️ If your child is in crisis or immediate danger
Contact your local emergency services immediately — 999 in the UK, 911 in the US, or your country's equivalent. The WhatsApp and phone hotline on this site are for general platform support and safeguarding concerns only. They are not monitored 24/7 and must never be relied upon as a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care.

Not a Medical or Emergency Service
Calm Child Therapy platform, the specialists who offer sessions through it, and the digital resources available in our shop do not provide medical, psychiatric, or emergency care. Nothing on this platform constitutes a medical diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for treatment by a licensed physician or psychiatrist.
If your child is experiencing a mental health crisis, is at risk of harm, or needs urgent medical attention, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. Do not wait for a session or a message response from our team or from any specialist on the platform.
Independent Practitioners, Not Employees
Psychologists, therapists, and other specialists listed on our platform are independent practitioners. We carry out a vetting process before accepting anyone onto the platform, including review of qualifications, professional registration, and references — but each practitioner is solely responsible for the advice, guidance, and care they provide.
Calm Child Therapy and AUZtec Innovations act as a facilitator connecting families with independent professionals. We are not the employer of any specialist on the platform, and we do not direct, supervise, or control the clinical judgement of any practitioner.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Every child and family is different, and therapeutic progress depends on many factors outside our control, including factors specific to your child, your family, and your circumstances. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, improvement, or result from sessions booked through our platform or from the use of our digital products.
Digital Products Are Educational Tools Only
Printable kits, planners, toolkits, and cards sold in our shop are designed as educational and organisational aids for parents and caregivers. They are not clinical interventions, diagnostic tools, or medical devices, and they are not a substitute for individualised professional advice from a qualified specialist who knows your child.
No Involvement in Medication or Medical Procedures
Neither Calm Child Therapy platform nor the specialists operating through it prescribe, recommend, adjust, or manage medication of any kind, nor do we perform or advise on medical procedures. Any decisions relating to medication or medical treatment must be made in consultation with your child's GP, paediatrician, or psychiatrist.
We accept no responsibility for decisions made regarding medication or medical care, whether or not those decisions were informed by content found on this platform.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calm Child Therapy and AUZtec Innovations disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, or harm — direct, indirect, or consequential — arising from your use of this platform, your reliance on content published on it, or services rendered by independent practitioners listed on it.
This includes, without limitation, any decisions made on the basis of information found on this website, in our digital products, or during sessions conducted by specialists. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Regulatory & Jurisdictional Differences
We serve families across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, the EU, and beyond. Regulation of psychological and therapeutic practice differs from country to country. It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that a specialist's qualifications and registration are recognised and appropriate within your jurisdiction.
Confidentiality Has Limits
While we and our practitioners take confidentiality seriously (see our FAQs and Privacy Policy for more detail), all professionals are bound by safeguarding obligations. If a specialist believes a child is at risk of harm, they are required by law and professional ethics to take appropriate action, which may include contacting relevant authorities — even where this means information shared in confidence is disclosed.
Changes to This Disclaimer
We may update this disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised disclaimer.
